Wow-it's been awhile since I've been able to get on here. Alot has happened in the last few weeks. First off-I quit the daycare about 2 weeks ago, my last day is this coming Tuesday. I loved the kids, but it ended up just being too much for me. Being around 12 toddlers all day wore me out!!!!!!!!! Also, my schedule was so crazy, I never knew when I was going to get off work which was very frustrating as I couldn't make any plans after work. Overall, I really missed being in the "business world" and I was really tired of taking care of other people's kids, when all I wanted was to take care of my own child. I must admit though, it has been great working there the past month because it has allowed me to be close to Colt, and I really have enjoyed getting to know the kids and their parents. Iwill miss them, but I will still see them all because Colt will continue going there for daycare-his teacher Ms. Amy is great! I am going to miss being so close to Colt, but I'm really looking forward to my new job. I am going to be working in Brentwood (which is going to be a much further drive) at Alpha Omicron Pi. It's a sorority whose headquarters is in Brentwood and I'm going to be the Accounting Assistant. It's kind of weird that it's not the same sorority I was in at MTSU, but alot of other women that work there were not in AOPi either. A friend of mine from Sunday School works there and she referred me to the position. I'm so excited about it. They have GREAT benefits and I get my own office with a window (I'm pretty excited about that). My hours there are going to be great as well, I'm going to start off working 8:00-4:15 and after that there's a possibility that I can work from 7:30 to 3:30 which would be great for Colt's hours. Towards the end of my career at LaBella, I started doing alot of accounting stuff and really enjoyed it. I actually told Dave and I would love to find a job like that-so it all worked out.
Colt is doing GREAT!!! He is just so cute - I just love him to death. A friend of mine has a baby about 3 weeks older than Colt and she said he started teething around 13 weeks, which is how old Colt is now. He's already been showing signs of teething so hopefully it wont be too rough on him when they come through. I really can't even believe he's already old enough to be getting teeth! Oh-cute story: Ms. Amy (Colt's teacher) said that she had Colt and Emma (one of the little girls in his class) laying on nthe play mat next to eachother the other day. She said she looked over and Emma reached over and grabbed Colt's hands and they were just laying there holding hands....I guess he's already found himself a little girlfriend. I thought that was really cute.
Dave and I will also be celebrating out 4th wedding anniversary this coming Thursday-I can't believe it's already been 4 years!! Alot sure has changed in those 4 years-for the better:)
