Colton "Colt" David Cherry has arrived!!!!

So these all downloaded in reverse order.....I'm still trying to figure out this whole blog thing. Anyway, these first few pictures are of Colt the day we left the hospital. His outfit is the same outfit that Dave wore home from the hospital when he was born.
Colt and Daddy

This was taken right after he was born

Colton David Cherry born June 2, 2009 at 11:07pm
8 lbs. 13 oz. 21.25 inches

Checking Colt out right after he was delivered.

Before all the pain started, I was still all smiles.

As you can tell, we didn't go with any of the names. We were actually still unsure of the name at 10:00 that morning. We went in at 5:00am and they started the pitocin shortly thereafter. It was a LONG day. I remember being SO hungry and the only thing I could have was popsicles. I ended up being in labor for 18 hours-it was a LONG day needless to say, but worth it. I did pretty well except at the end around 8:00 is when the pain really started to kick in. At one point, they thought they were going to have to do a c-section because of my cervix facing up and the way they thought he was positioned. Finally at about 10:15, I started pushing and he was out at 11:07.
I can't believe he is already over a week old! I absolutely LOVE being a mother. I always said I dont think I could stay at home all the time, I would get bored-but I really think I could get used to this. Colt has been doing really well during the night, we did have 2 rough nights, but other than that he sleeps at least 3 hours at a time. One night he even slept for a 5 hour stretch! I hope he continues this streak!!! It's also been really nice having Dave at home, he goes back to work next Monday :(
